once someone has been hurt is ROUGH.  This is new for me because I’m usually on the receiving end of the pain, but this time I’M THE ONE trying to fix the friendship.  I made a mistake and wasn’t there for him when he needed me the most and I regret that tremendously.  I don’t regret much in life, but that is ONE OF THE FEW THINGS I do.  It pains me to know that our friendship is nowhere near as strong as it used to be and that we are even at the point of having to build it back.  I am, however, grateful that we both have agreed to fix things between us.  This is going to be a rough road, BUT I’m pretty sure it’ll be a road that’s worth it in the end.
